The Book Is Here!

Greetings all!

I'm so happy to announce that my book is here! It was released nationwide last Thursday and we're off to a great start! First off, I just want to say thank you to all those who have purchased the book and are sending me great feedback. I guess you just don't figure on people actually loving your work...a nice "settling for it" will do. But it's been anything but that. The response has been overwhelming and I'm so blessed.

My first Book Release Party was so much fun! About 65+ people gathered together at New Life Christian Church in Depauville last Friday night. My sweet Jenny introduced me and then I set up for a reading of chapter 20 complete with a flute/bass/drums soundtrack playing in the background (many thanks to Chris Harvey). What I thought would be a simply round of applause burst into an emotional and heartfelt adulation. They got it. And what a felling it was. After about 30 seconds of clapping we moved into a Q&A session where I took questions on publishing, writing, and inspiration. It gave me a chance to talk about the book, my wonderful publisher (www.tsabahouse.com), and the process of writing and the Lord opening doors for your gifts. Thanks to all who bought the book and continue to support this ministry! Also many thanks to my surprise visit from Ron and Val Sykes (our bassist/pianist and worship dancer with CHB) who drove all the way out from Rochester to surprise me! Wow!

The next day we journeyed south into my hometown of Dryden, NY for my fist ever library signing at the Southworth Library. I admitted to the Library Director, Sarah Dovi, that I still had late fees there, but she assured me that my donation of an autographed copy of the book would cover it.What a thrill it was to see so many old friends and to actually be sitting at my old library, but this time on the other end of things. Sarah and her wonderful staff had set up a beautiful little table outside complete with sign and balloons.I did my best to stay out of the sun to keep my head from gettin' red! It was a perfect day. Thank you Jesus! Many thanks to Sarah and Southworth Library; see you next summer!

That's all for now! Stay posted for the new website due out this week!

June is here?

Hey'a Cyber Crew!

I last wrote in April...now summer is officially here and I still am amazed, as if I haven't learned it yet, at how fast time flies. Are things speeding up or is it just me? Jennifer and I continue to fight for a few moments of rest, now having to "work" at just staying home. However it is not without just cause. Our activities at New Life Christian Church are more than rewarding and the production of art, whether it be musical or writing, is still an enjoyable adventure. But even more rewarding is being a daddy. Just this morning Eva picked up her shoes after our "morning wrestle" and after I put them on her she went to the front door and started pulling on it. A "morning walk" is sure to become yet another habit. She has captured my heart and I don't know what I'd do without her. I admire my wife, the once "I-have-no-idea-how-to-cook-and-would-rather-be-out-in-the-barn" girl who has become quite the little house wife and loving it. I sit here a blessed man.

With the nationwide release of Rise of The Dibor just one week away, things have been really picking up at my office. I've found great encouragement by the reviews that have already come in as well as by the letters of those of you who've had a chance to buy pre-release copies at our recent concerts. One young man just wrote to say he and his mom burned all his Harry Potter books and is now hooked on The White Lion Chronicles.

If you haven't already, you can pre-order Rise of The Dibor (also through our link on our website www.christopherhopper.com) which will transfer you to our end of Amazon.com.

June 15th Rise of The Dibor will be available in stores. If your local book store has not stocked it, please ask them to. All Barnes & Nobels and Borders have the book in their national warehouses and all Christian book stores have access to it through our distributor, FaithWorks (for them to order call: 866.732.6657). Your support is greatly appreciated! We so appreciate your "buzz making" abilities! Thank you!

I'm really excited as next week we'll be launching a brand new website with many cool new features. Stay tuned!

Last Friday I had my first live TV interview for the book on TCT Channel 25 in Buffalo which covered Rochester, Toronto, Canada, Bradshaw, PA and Ohio. It was a lot of fun to talk about my book and what the Lord is already doing through it. Ministering through writing has opened up a whole new world which I'm sure I don't even know the half of yet.

Next Friday, June 16th, we'll be having the Official Book Release Party at New Life Christian Church in Depauville. If you'd like directions please call 315.686.6090. The fun starts at 7pm and will include a reading, QnAs, food, music, and a discussion on writing and publishing.

The following day, Saturday June 17th, I'll be making an appearance at my old hometown library, Southworth Library in Dryden, NY from 12pm-2pm. I'd love to see you! Please come out and say hi!

Also, thank you for your continued prayers for my sister-in-law, Amber. She is walking completely on her own now and mentally she improves a little more each day, thought still not 100%.

That's all for now, folks!

Blessings!
